Mammogram Outreach Digital Toolkit

Together Senator Kim Ward and the PA Breast Cancer Coalition have launched a statewide public awareness initiative titled “Early Detection Saves Lives.” The initiative has been in place for a few years and brings awareness to the importance of early direction. The goal is to encourage all women, beginning at age 40, to schedule screenings that could save their lives.  When diagnosed early, the 5-year survival rate for breast cancer is over 90 percent. A missed mammogram could mean a delayed diagnosis of breast cancer. As part of this partnership, we have created a tool kit to help individuals to become more knowledgeable and help spread the word.
