Senate Bill 963 (Ward) – Amends the Workers’ Compensation Act to reestablish the Impairment Rating Evaluation process.
House Bill 566 (Santora) – Provides for suspension of performance if payment is not received by a contractor or a subcontractor in accordance with the terms of a construction contract if specific written notifications occur. Provides for prompt payment of contractors and subcontractors.
House Bill 1001 (Helm) – Establishes the Home Inspector Licensing Board; establishes requirements for becoming a licensed home inspector; establishes requirements for home inspection contracts and home inspection reports.
House Bill 1469 (Heffley) – Allows building permit applicants to use an alternative third-party agency in municipalities that have one third-party agency enforcing the Uniform Construction Code, provided the alternative TPA remits a surcharge to the municipality. Requires written notice of options on building permit applications. Establishes a process for the Department of Labor & Industry to investigate and remedy complaints about code officials.
