MEDIA ADVISORY – Veteran Services Breakfast with State Sen. Kim Ward and U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster

(Greensburg, Pa.) State Senator Kim Ward (R-39th) and Kennametal Corp. will welcome U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster (R- 9th) to the company’s corporate campus in Unity Township Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 8 a.m. to discuss concerns with delivery of services to veterans.

The Veteran Services Breakfast will bring together a number of service providers as well as organizations seeking more information on how to better serve the growing number of veterans in Westmoreland County.

Congressman Bill Shuster is a member of the House Armed Services Committee as well as its Subcommittees on Readiness and Terrorism and Unconventional Threats and Capabilities. He is the ranking Republican member on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Material. He also serves as a Deputy Republican Whip in the House.

Bill Shuster was born in McKeesport and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Political Science and History from Dickinson College and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from American University in Washington, D.C.

Senator Ward of Hempfield Township is a freshman State Senator who among other committee assignments serves on the Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee.
