Senator Kim Ward Comments on Governor Tom Corbett's Budget Proposal

Harrisburg, PA – State Senator Kim Ward (R-39th) commented today on the budget proposal presented by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett to a joint session of the Legislature.

"While there will be give and take on some of the line items in the budget as the negotiations move forward, the Governor's address set the right tone by insisting that Pennsylvania must live within its fiscal means by not continuing to spend money that we don't have. It's simple. It's the way we all run our household finance," stated Ward.

"As I listened to Governor Corbett it was very clear that Pennsylvania had been forced to function under the heavy handed liberal spending Rendell administration for the past 8 years. The rubber has hit the road and there is light at the end of the tunnel for our taxpayers and our Commonwealth," she finished.
